It is expected that all Killarney students will act as people of character who exhibit the following virtues in all aspects of school life. It is important to note that student behavioural expectations extend to any situation, on school property or off, that affect the reputation of the school.
EPSB district policy applies in all cases. The policy can be viewed at http://www.epsb.ca/policy/ig.bp.shtml or by requesting a copy from the office.

Empathy - the act of putting oneself in the place of a person who is suffering or who has suffered a loss or set-back.
Forgiveness - the act of bearing no malice to someone who has, intentionally or unintentionally hurt them, physically or emotionally.
Generosity - the act of rationally helping others. (ie: welcoming new students, substitute teachers)
Honesty - the act of presenting the facts, without distortion.
Optimism - the act of looking at the positive.
Responsibility - the act of carrying out prescribed roles and duties (being an effective student) with minimal supervision.
