Our motto at Killarney School is ACE: Academics, Character and Excellence. We set high standards for our students, and our students rise to the occasion!

With an instructional focus on literacy, we will be making special efforts to improve student reading and writing levels, with the goal of having every student reading and writing at or above grade level. We have set literacy as our instructional focus, as literacy is at the core of learning in all subjects.

As a Professional Learning Community, we are dedicated to ensure the success of all students in their program.  All members of our community are expected to persist to find ways to make every student successful. We are committed to early intervention to support students who are having difficulty with some aspects of their learning and to finding the best research-based teaching and learning practices, to ensure high levels of learning for all students.

Killarney School is highly diverse. A saying that you will often hear is “At Killarney, we don’t tolerated our diversity, we celebrate it!”  This saying captures our philosophy of welcoming, and celebrating families from every cultural background. It has even been said the Killarney is a model for public education!
